I am awake feeling quite awful in a very vague way. This is my squeak of anxiety. Maybe it is just anxiety in fact. I am trying to breathe my way through it. I got a sore throat, the tense rather than scratchy kind, several days ago so there's some element of sickness here but I didn't feel at all feverish until getting the chills hours ago. Also my stomach is bothering me. I am aware I sound like the Undergroud Man. I'm just not doing well right now. My feeling bad is usually more familiar, so I tend to assume this is fatal, it goes without saying. And I have to go to Boston in a few hours. So extra anxiety about whether I will wreck that by feeling too ill to travel. Mostly I would like this not to be strep please. Or anything fatal.

Squeak.

I woke a few mornings ago with a tension headache and vague nausea that wouldn't go away. It was Christmas, in fact. I wasn't with my brothers and sister and mother, but still it was there. I ended the day with a huge throwing up. It was all very symbolic, I think.

If you're in transit now, I trust and believe you will be fine, and hope you're feeling much better.

Thank you, it was a reassuring sentiment. I am in transit and feeling ok.

Dr. Internet says it's the flu, because everyone has the flu right now. Feel better!

Yeah maybe a flu. I really want it to get gone in the next day or two because a new year's celebrant is pregnant and we'd have to bag if I were still sick, I guess. I feel pretty ok now.

The chills and nausea certainly sound like part of this year's flu. Tension sore throat DOESN'T sound like strep. Dunno if any of this anecdotal reaction is helpful. Tell us how it progresses -- or how it fades away, preferably. Are you on your way to Boston? Are you IN Boston?

Thanks, I'm on my way to Boston but only as of 30 minutes ago. I slept all day and we tried to decide when to go when I was awake. It's supposed to snow like a madman tomorrow so I kind of told myself firmly I felt ok and indeed right now I do.
