Yawn, scarf porn, but I do think it's a nice pattern. It looks a lot like one I saw on Ravelry that's in a book that's out of print and goes for some ridiculous figure used on Amazon, and apparently if you ask people who already made it to share the pattern with you, they get all bug-eyed about copyright. I'm making it for a co-worker, and then I think I'll make one in some pastel shade for my mom.

I like that design. It's kind of like plant leaves. About Ravelry, I had a girlfriend early last year who frequented that site, and she never got around to making the socks she promised me.

Thanks, yes I think the name of it is actually "alternating leaves" or something. I found it in a book at Barnes & Noble and just photographed the page that laid out the pattern.

I bet socks are kind of hard.

Socks aren't actually that hard, once you get the gist of how they're constructed. I would say they go faster than scarves because there's a lot more variety in what you're doing.

I think there's a similar pattern called "traveling vines" if you ever want something like that without all the copyright hullabaloo.

Thanks! It's actually fairly fun to kint. I did two cable patterns in a row and this goes twice as fast.

Yeah, I'll probably try a few more lace patterns now that I've figured out they're not that crazy-making. I'm a little wary of anything with "knit through the back leg" in it, but I could probably get past that even.

I love it.

Also, stitches aren't copyright, and you are really asking for the stitch pattern.

Thanks! I just posted a forum topic asking about how to change the pattern so it won't curl under along the edges so much. It's a really fun pattern and going quickly.
